Initialization: Self-testing is done as it initializes its sensors and navigation system.
Navigation: Using the installation algorithms, the robot maps the layout of your pool. More advanced designs may come with smart mapping technologies that remember the layout for future cleaning schedules, thus optimizing their cleaning paths.
Cleaning Cycle: The robot moves around over the pool surfaces, scrubbing and vacuuming. Brushes loosen dirt, algae, and other things, after which the vacuum system sucks up what's trapped in an onboard filter.
Obstacle Detection: The sensors will allow the robot to detect obstacles like the ladders and drains and move around them without being caught or missing spots.
Completion: It will return to the edge of the pool for easy retrieval after cleaning.
